Well I think he is. Just look at the no. of great wrestlers that have come from Stu’s ‘dungeon’. He has trained Bret Hart,Chris Benoit, Jushin Liger, Shinya Hashimoto, Owen Hart, Dynamite Kid, Edge, Chris Jericho, Davey Boy Smith, Billy Graham, Abdullah the Butcher, Ricky Fuji,Brian Pillman. Also some competent wrestlers like Mark Henry, Jim Neidhart, Teddy Hart, Gene Kiniski, Justin Credible, Lance Storm, Nikolai Volkoff and Honky Tonk Man have been trained by him.
If you are asking who is the greatest trainer of wrestling talent in the History of Professional Wrestling, I would say only Verne Gage rivals him. If you asking who has had the greatest influence on what Professional Wrestling is today, then that would be Mr. vincent Kennedy McMahon. thanks to Mr. McMahon Professional Wrestling is “Sports Entertainment” and all of the Wrestling Territories were driven out of existence.
