md5 hash check

Why does Yahoo! Mail Beta MD5 has their image names? Check it out, it’s very strange.?

Watch Yahoo! Mail Beta load on IE. Watch the status bar at the bottom. You’ll notice Yahoo! Mail Beta downloading images that have ‘md5′ in their image path name, and the names of their images are hashed, like 39d9s9f83nsnjwcnwe329.gif. MD5 is a secure way of hashing bytes, but why use it here? Pray tell!

i don’t see it
