make hash blender
What’s the proper way to make fresh pumpkin puree?
I tried last night using directions off the internet (bake for an hour at 375 degrees, put in blender), and it didn’t so much turn out as puree . . . it was more the consistency of hash browns. Any suggestions?
I personally would boil it and then mash it as you do for potatoes or any other vegetable. You can also cut it in pieces and steam it with a little water and then mash it in a food processor with their own juice.
I don’t think that baking them beforehand is a good way to mash vegetables because the baking makes them dry.
