hashimoto’s hypothyroidism diet

Which diet plan for someone with thyroid problems?
I have been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism over a year ago and further diagnosed with Hashimoto’s just a couple months ago… I have worked very hard on having a balanced diet and eating a lower calorie diet (varying between 1000 & 1300), yet my weight continued to climb… I have ended up gaining 25 pounds in just one year, partly due to stress I believe. I have even tried increasing the amount of aerobic and strength training I do in a day… well, as a result, I have gained 5 more pounds and now I’m up 30 pounds! Has anyone had success with meal plans actually working? Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast, Jenny Craig, NutriSystem, etc?
Hashimoto’s isn’t a diabetic condition.
I am currently under the care of an endocronologist and on hormone replacement (Synthroid). I feel the healthiest I have been in quite a while! minus the weight problem…
Im 31 years old and I also have hypothyroid. I take 150 mg. I also have attend a weight watchers meeting every sunday since Jan. 11th. I have been up and down on the scale but I bounce right back on track. I have lost, as of last sunday, 18.8 lbs. Some people may think that that has taken a long time. But for me it is just right. One week I gained 3lbs the next I lost 3.8. Two weeks I stayed the same weight and one week I gained 1lb. But hey I lost 18.8 lbs! That’s almost 20 lbs. Doing this means I can loose another 10-15lbs! I will be at a goal weight once .8lbs is goin. Hopefull that will happen this week. Once I hit a goal weight I have to stay like 2lbs of that for 6 weeks and then I’m a lifetime member. I only that to go in once a month to get weighted in. i really like it.
