hash unhash
can you delete a passwd on ophcrack instead of just finding it?
Ok so ophcrack found the hash for my administrator account( which is my only account) but cannot unhash it( i guess you would call it that) to find the actual password.so there is a delete button up at the top, if i press it will it just get rid of the password or will it get rid of my administrator too? If it does get rid of my administrator is there another way to just delete my administrator password using ohpcrack?
It hasnt found my password. So can i delete the hash and have that delete the password?
Ophcrack is designed to find the password – not reset it.
Once you find it, open your account. Start> Control Panel > User Accounts > Change Password.
Enter your old password and leave the other two fields blank. Click on “Change Password”.
