Pot Addiction
Despite pot being a soft drug compared to many such as heroin or ice it is highly addictive but for reasons people do not often give it credit for. Marijuana, pot, weed, hash or many other terms is a drug that gives a chemically induced high but it does not give the body a chemical that it becomes dependant on like nicotine in cigarettes.
The reason for the addiction is that people often smoke pot to escape from something in their life’s, the soothing numbing effect of the drug is often better than whatever problem they face and the more they smoke the more they make it a habit that they turn to when something goes wrong or when they are stressed.
So how is this an addiction if there is no physical craving? Well there are cravings but they are psychological in nature which sometimes makes it more difficult to cure because you need to untangle the convoluted web that is peoples mind. The mind is a tricky thing that is hard to know and easy to mislead especially with ones self. The only way to really give up on the drug though is to delve into this mass and find the root causes of the addiction!
So if you are addicted to pot or know someone who is do not worry there is not bad comedown like hard drugs and no withdrawals only a desire for the drug they can overcome if they choose to overcome it with a little introspection and honesty.
