brown smoke
VW Transporter 1.9TD thick smoke, brown when started, then white/blue.?
The clutch gives a small knock when started and the revs go up and down a small bit in idle and while driving. It revs fully for a few seconds in idle and then goes back down. When reving it produces a lot of thick darkish smoke. The engine makes a whirring noise like its electric above 2500 revs. I ran the tank dry over a week ago, but it started again fine and gave no trouble for a few days. since then i have put nearly 4 litres of oil in it aswell. Any ideas or help would be well appreciated!
